Abundance Prayer from World Puja

I dwell in the midst of infinite abundance.
The abundance of God is my infinite source.
The river of life flows through me into lavish expression.
God comes to me through unexpected avenues
and works in a myriad of ways to bless me.
I now open my heart and my mind to receive my good.

Nothing is too good to have happen.
Nothing is too wonderful to have happen.
With God as my source, nothing amazes me.

I give freely to life and life gives back to me with
fabulous increase.
I am indeed grateful.

And so it is.

(Thank you Maureen Moss and World Puja)

Good Wishes Galore

This morning I was talking to a lady who was telling me about her exciting journey into spirituality and how her life is beginning to change as she learns to apply the spiritual principles and practices. Then she follows it up with ‘I wish more people were doing this. Life in the world then would be so much better.’

Back in ’05, I remember, a group of us were studying ‘A Course in Miracles’. After a particularly illuminating lesson one day, one of the participants threw up his hands in the air and asked incredulously, “why are there only 14 of us here? I wish there were 1400”.

And just now I read my friend Tom’s FB post starting up with “I wish more humans would understand……..”.

This is the wonderful nature of the human being. We are constantly searching for something better and as we discover something we deeply resonate with, we promptly want the entire world to share it, to buy into it, to start living by it. The fellows who have learned to make more money in a simpler way, can hardly wait to show us how. From cleaning houses to teaching children to finding spiritual solace, we are so eager to spread it out and wish others would absorb and embrace what we have just discovered. Have you noticed? Isn’t it wonderful?

And they will. This is the way of evolution. We learn, we wish, we teach, we plant seeds, we carry on. The more we wish the more it comes true. The stronger our desire the sooner it happens.

It is sure to happen. Just don’t hold your breath as to when and how. And release all attachments to what it ‘should’ look like. You have set forth a desire. The universe must honor it divinely timed.

So keep wishing folks. Good wishes galore.

Jyoti's Dilemma on Receiving Gifts

Jyoti's Dilemma on Receiving Gifts
Jyoti wrote: 'Sometimes I get gifts for which I have no use although the gifts in themselves may be beautiful and interesting. But now I want very few selective things around me. But I don't have the courage to tell people directly about this. Of course, I drop hints. But that doesn't seem to be working. So what I do is give them away to someone else when an occasion comes like birthdays etc. Is this wrong ? Am I passing the goodwill and love of people unknowingly? I definitely do not want to accumulate things that I will never use. What is your advice?'

Focus on the love, the concern, the connection the gift represents, and not on the thing per se. Receive with gratitude. Cherish the thought behind the gift and don't look merely for its utility value. Then feel free to keep it or give it away with love to someone who may have better use for it.

You may have to work through some of the old patterns of the mind. These may be your feelings of guilt, feeling of being disloyal to the person who gave it to you, or fear of 'what if they found out it was recycled' -- which is a shame, feeling the need to reciprocate and so on. Watch as these sentiments come up. These are where your real resistance comes from. Let them go one by one.

You do not owe it to anyone to keep what they give you, or having to pay back. Choose to see it coming from unconditional love and refuse to surround it with conditionalities. It is yours to do what you please. Give yourself freedom.

The other thing is don't hint. Either say it lovingly and trust they understand, or don't say anything at all if you think they may be hurt.

Remember, giving and receiving are two sides of the same coin. Know that if we cannot receive with grace and unconditionality, we probably are unable to give unconditionally too. A friend of mine suggests that we stop being 'stingy' receivers.

The Abundant Universe

Our physical three dimensional five sensory world has gotten us so bogged down with the idea of scarcity, of finite matter and of survival, that it boggles our mind to think that the universe can actually be a place of infinite abundance.

Why wouldn't it be? Everything is energy before it turns to matter. And there is infinite energy.

INFINITE ABUNDANCE. Just say it and see how it feels.

INFINITE ABUNDANCE. Sound of sweet music. Allow it to play over and over again in your ears and resonate in your pulse. The gravity and the significance of the thought will gradually start to seep in. Then think about how such a concept would affect every level every aspect of your being.

Enjoy. Have fun. Be seeing you here again soon.
