Scary!!! Is it?

This word is showing up more and more when I visit with friends and family, by and large well informed, well-meaning folks. As we talk about the goings on in the world, in the country, in the community, someone says – Scary, isn’t it?

So many otherwise smart, savvy, resourceful individuals, are coming face to face with the outer periphery of their confidence. The future they are looking at -- the one they are equipped to imagine, envisage and predict - is downright scary.

This is a great opportunity.

We are fearful when we feel powerless. When we believe an outside force can overpower us and strip us of what we hold dear, we are scared. Yet it still is only in the realm of a possibility. And it is standing on the strength of our belief.

Yes, it may look plausible, even likely. Yes, such dynamics may have played out in history with the outcome we are fearful of.  Yet, this precisely is the occasion when we need to remember our power to create, to choose, to change. This is exactly the time to recall that the energy vibrations we put out with our thoughts, words and emotions create outcomes in the 3D.  This is the moment when our spirit is calling us to well informed conscious thought and action.

We get to consciously refuse to engage with our fears and spread the poison. We get to look deeper within for the courage and wisdom our minds have accumulated. We get to remember those who had the audacity to stand up to oppressors and foster change. That daring resides in all of us who love life. It can be called forth through our faith – our faith in humanity, our faith in our evolution, and our faith in ourselves arising out of our innate connection to Supreme Source.

One other very important thing to remember -- fear is a great tool in the hands of the oppressor. Throughout history generating fear has been used to enslave, exploit, dominate and even expunge people. It is time we refuse to participate in the game – on either side, as perpetrator or as victim. We will hold on to our truth coming from our spiritual connection, build bold, clear, inviolable boundaries and remind others to quit the field of fear. We start by withdrawing attention from that which is ‘scary’ to placing it on that which evokes ‘gratitude’.  And ‘appreciation’. That is what we talk about, and feel and broadcast. And watch the world transform.

Conscious Creation: How to Hold Energetic Space

Before anything actually happens on a physical dimension in our 3D reality, it must necessarily exist in our energetic vibrational field. This is now becoming amply apparent to us. So, when we take charge of our circumstances and wish to alter some aspect, we must learn to consciously create and hold the energy within which such a reality may manifest. This requires disengagement from the collective mind and deep seated subconscious programs. It is a rigorous process. But once we get the hang of it, it really works and works fast.

Check out the forthcoming workshop at  http://www.visionwholistic.net/classes%20and%20workshops.asp#CC

Things About Water You May Not Know

We all know that without water we cannot sustain life, but few are aware of the depth to which water affects our being. Consider these:-

--The quantity of water on the planet has is constant like energy. It changes form, no one is making more or can take any away. Water is energy in liquid form.

--Water has consciousness and an intelligence of its own. And now we are discovering that it  has memory too. In the past decade Masaru Emoto has demonstrated multiple times how quickly and efficiently water picks up the vibrations it is exposed to. This little video clip re-affirms that. As soon as you come into contact with water it picks up your unique imprint. How cool is that?

--Water and humans have always had a wonderful and intimate relationship. This beautiful element not only replenishes, cleanses and quenches our thirst, it also exchanges vibrational imprints if you will. So when we are happy, the water around us is happy. The reverse is also true. And every molecule of water will pass on to the next its emotional memory.

Then, consider this, just like the planet, we too are predominantly water. Whatever goes on with the water on earth, in some way reflects in our body -- calm, quiet, turbulent, angry, raging -- we feel it, however subtly. But most of all it reflects in our emotions.

Water is the element of our second chakra, the 'swadhistana', that which anchors our emotional body. Water and we are connected in deep emotional ways.

So what does it all mean? What is the significance of this new awareness? It's enormous!!

As evident from the events of the last few months, the water on this planet is in the process of rearranging itself. Floods in desert plains, droughts where water was plentiful, storms and hurricanes more than normal have surprised us. Its sheer unpredictability has left us all wondering. What can we do?

I can suggest a few ideas.
  • Treat water as a conscious being, a friend. Thank the water for what it does for you as you drink, wash and bathe. Never take it for granted.
  • Pray, love and meditate over jars or jugs of water. Charge it with pure and high vibrations. Then ask it to heal and purify larger bodies of water, including our bodies. Pour it with gratitude into the nearest river, stream, pond, lake or well. Let the good vibrations spread through the water.
  • Whenever you hear any upsetting news about storms, floods or hurricanes, get together in groups (or alone) tune in to the water energy and send it calm loving thoughts. Ask to neutralize the agitation.
Thoughts have power and water pickes it up. It has emotions. We can now start to awaken to these gifts and befriend them.

Loving and thoughtful presence, always.

Tonglen Meditation

"I choose peace instead of this" is one of my favorite lines from A Course in Miracles. I always find myself taking a deep breath whenever I utter those words. And no other meditation, I have found, is as potent as Tonglen meditation to take me to that space of peace. Whenever something comes up within me, or around me, something I see and don't like, that makes me angry, sad or makes me feel helpless, this use of the mind, the intention and the breath has a powerful way of neutralizing that.

Beloved teacher Pema Chodron is the master who introduced Tonglen to me. Here she is in this short video introducing Tonglen. Do it for as long or as short as you wish and watch yourself transform.

Pema Chodron Tonglen Meditation

She teaches us to use the God-given power of mind, breath and body to do this. I am grateful.

Sound Matters

Are you aware of the power of sound vibrations in shifting consciousness? It is phenomenal. Scientists are just beginning to get a clue. But our spiritual forefathers have known of it all along. Hence the idea of the 'word' of God to start the process of creation. Hence the hymns and the chants.

Through the power of the voice we have traditionally reached for higher consciousness. We sing, we chant, we invoke, invite, praise and thank. We have done it in groups and in our privacy. And we have learned that few things touch our hearts as much as song. The energy that is present in the non-physical realm must come together and congeal in order to take us to higher ground.

This was the central piece in the Sound Healing workshop with Jonathan Goldman last weekend. The gist of sound matters is that we can embed an intention in a particular sound or phrase. And as we chant that sound over and over again, we bring the vibration of that reality closer and closer together. And soon we have drawn it into the realm of three dimensional reality.

We increase the power multifold when we practice this in groups.

But that is not all. Every word we speak carries that power. The spoken word multiplies the thought vibration many times over and sends it forth to manifest in the universe. And when it is embedded with heartfelt intention and belief, it must come into being. Such is the law of the universe.

And we have everything we need -- we have our voice, each one of us. It is a divine gift. It is one of the most powerful tools to aid us in uplifting our consciousness. It is also our responsibility. What words are we uttering? Are they uplifting, embedded with love and joyous expectancy? Or are we perpetuating the old patterns by giving constant voice to that which we wish to change?

The throat center is the gateway of the divine will. Isn't it time to pay attention to what passes through it?

Spiritual Intelligence: Path to Personal Power

Oct. 16 & 17, Sat. 10-6, Sun. 10– 3. $ 250
Early bird registration by Sept 30 - $ 220
Venue: 2708 Grand Avenue, Des Moines, IA

“Your inner intelligence is the ultimate & supreme genius, it mirrors the wisdom of the cosmos”, Deepak Chopra.

The question arises -- how does one access the wisdom of this ‘inner intelligence’ and then apply it to everyday living?

This workshop is about just that -- your ‘inner intelligence’, your ‘spirit’, your ‘vital life force energy’ and the power that lies dormant within your ‘soul’. Welcome.

The mind has been a fine steward of evolution and will continue to be so. Yet, if you find yourself stressed, overwhelmed, frustrated, depressed, caught in recurring negative emotional patterns, or unable to progress in a desired direction, there seems little the mind is able to do. It is time then to garner your inner spiritual intelligence, arising from the soul.

To do so, it is important to learn about the energy field of consciousness --thoughts, beliefs and emotions, and be able to distinguish the vibrations of the soul. We live and operate within this field.

Ongoing research in quantum mechanics, energy psychology and spiritual healing is giving us deeper understanding of the laws that govern this energy field. More importantly, pioneers who are working with energy are amazed by the power arising out of spiritual intelligence, once we learn to align with it.

There are four distinct parts to this workshop.

• Understanding the energy dynamics from a spiritual perspective (the laws of polarity, energy exchange and accumulation and so forth).

• Recognizing the blocks that appear, sometimes recurring, and the source of our inner resistance (always rooted in a belief that has run its course).

• Applying simple techniques to shift our consciousness to more harmonious vibrations. (Energy tools that address body, mind and soul).

• Experiencing the collective group energy and support in releasing process of deeply embedded blocks. (This part is most valuable).

In other words, if you wish to make some deep changes, let’s get to the root, and let your ‘inner intelligence’ do the work.

A little Tête-à-tête

I wrote in my recent newsletter : Good things are happening. Let us keep our attention on the good stuff. The media is doing enough of the gloom and doom.

SK responded: Good things are happening? Where Malabika? Why cant my eyes see them?

Me: Quit looking outside SK. What'shappening in your heart?

SK: Well Malabika, the heart has always been giving good messages and it all appears 'in place' when I look from the heart's perpective. The universe seems to be in order.

But then, at times we notice things 'not in sync', especially between what the five senses sense and what the heart knows.

And this continues to exist, sometimes forever.

The fight goes on, the fight for a certain justice, a certain achievement, a certain need, a certain victory and so on.

Root chakra cannot lose its significance, just because Crown Chakra exists. They all need fulfillment, dont they? The seven chakras.

Yes, our consciouness can continue to stay at a higher chakra and feel bliss.

Me: The heart has the secret of perfect balance among all the chakras if only you'd quit giving the third chakra so much power and feed it's need to fight and fix. Stay in your heart power, do what you can without violating your boundary or anyone else's, and trust the rest to the higher intelligence.

SK: Thank you.

He gets it. It is all a matter of perspective. From within. The ego has a preconceived notion of how things 'ought' to be. And it judges everything that is 'not in sync' with that plan as 'bad' and somehow needs to be overcome, over powered, changed, fixed, turned around. The heart on the other hand, has no such hang ups. It goes for joy in whatever little way it can, even in the most dire of circumstances.

A new way of looking at things. A new paradigm.
